- The funds lent by TBI Bank for deferred-payment purchases grow by 37% this December as compared to 2015.
The air-conditioner replaced the tablet from the top 10 goods purchased most by the Bulgarians this Christmas and New Year in December as compared to the data for the same month in 2015. This is evident from TBI Bank’s data based on an analysis of the market data. Meanwhile, televisions, mobile phones and laptops remain most attractive and without changes compared to last year.
The leader, of course, is the television accounting for almost 20% of all goods purchased under a deferred payment clause during the holidays. Some of the more unusual goods purchased from financing from TBI Bank include a cement mixer, drums, guitar, orthopedic mattress with massage functions, a fireplace, etc.
The funds lent by TBI Bank for deferred payment purchases grow by 37% for the past month of December as compared to 2015, reaching more than BGN 16 Mil. At the same time according to the bank’s data the amount of utilized consumer loans as at December 31, 2016 is about BGN 9 Mil, marking an 83% raise compared to the last month of the previous year.
The Bank records a 19% growth of the average size of consumer loans up to BGN 1251. The average amount for funding of deferred payment purchases has grown by 6%.
The bank’s analysis shows that the average age of its customers who took a loan or made a purchase with deferred payment in December drops by three months to 42 years.
